A new division of Susan Flynn Barksdale Couture, an established company which specializes in Christening and Communion Wear, Flower Girl, Special Occasionwear for newborns up to size 16.
Sizes: Everything is available in sizes small (0-3 months), medium (6 months), and large (12 months).

Standouts: The custom made versatile silk shantung gown
(available with or without contrasting pink ribbon trim) that converts from
a 36-inch gown for ceremony to a short dress or romper for the reception
(talk about getting two for the price of one!) FYI:
The fabrics and attention to
detail are couture like and noteworthy (when tulle is used to create
volume, it is three layers of tulle that is guaranteed not to scratch
against the skin and won't get caught on baby's
tights).

Fall 2003: Designer Roundup
Children's collections exhibited at the ENK Children's Club Show held from March 9-12 referenced an era when people flashed the peace sign and "love ins" were commonplace. Only the designers can tell you if they followed a natural evolution when creating their collections or acted on a bit of prescience, but their hippie-heavy collections seem especially apt at this moment.

Barksdale's collections of christening, communion and holiday dressing are always dreamy and romantic. She's a craftsman and it shows in the dresses' tailoring.

Outstanding Piece:
The raw silk
The lining is visible when the edge of the overskirt is turned up,
but that flash of color lights up the look.
